Review
I've been waiting for this book solely for the fact that Zoe is a pilot-for-hire. I mean, how cool is that! Jill Shalvis always writes characters with the most interesting jobs. Not only that, but since this is the Animal Magnetism series I have to mention my love for the animals she writes! Every time I finish one of her books I want to run down the SPCA and adopt everything in sight.

I loved this book for one main reason: I was introduced to my new reason for breathing. Parker freaking James!
"Who's a good boy?" she murmured.
"Well, I don't like to brag, but I've been pretty good," Parker said.

Parker is Wyatt's friend who is staying at Zoe's while he's on "vacation" but he's really hunting a criminal poacher. I'm pretty sure I fell in love with him when he adopted those kittens *be still my heart*

Zoe was the glue that held her family together but Wyatt and Darcy have moved on and it's time for her to do the same, but she's a little jaded and not ready to let go of her control.
“I’m not annoyed by you,” he said.
“No?”
He smiled. “No.”
“What are you?” she whispered, still staring at his mouth.
“Lots of things.” He pulled her up and rubbed his thumb over the stain on her jaw, feeling a surge of satisfaction when her breath caught again. “Including turned on.”
The sexual chemistry between Zoe and Parker is off the charts! I loved the development of their relationship and how much fun they had with each other. And I can't write this review without mentioning Oreo! He totally stole the show!
“He doesn’t seem that nervous to me,” Parker said.
Oreo farted audibly.
Zoe fanned the air. “See? Nervous.”
Parker laughed. “My guess would be he’s eaten some of your cookies.”
All I Want was a great addition to the Animal Magnetism series and I can't wait to see what Jill comes up with next!

*I was provided an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Darcy Stone is game for anything — except sexy Navy veteran and physical therapist A.J. Colten, the guy who'd rejected her when she'd needed him most. Now the shoe is on the other foot and he needs her to play nice and help him secure grants for his patients. Unfortunately, Darcy can't refuse. She needs the money to fund her passion project: rescuing S&R dogs and placing them with emotionally wounded soldiers.

A.J. admits it — Darcy is irresistible. But he's already been battle-scarred by a strong-willed, vivacious, adventurous woman like Darcy, and he's not making the same mistake twice—until he and Darcy are forced to fake a relationship. Growing closer than they'd ever imagined possible, Darcy and AJ have to ask themselves: how much between them is pretend? What's the real thing? And where does it go from here?

Expected publication: April 7th 2015 by Berkley

He caught her arm and turned her to face him. "I don't just sign your paychecks. I'm your brother and sister's best friend. You're definitely my business. And," he went on when she opened her mouth, "I don't see how that's a bad thing, having people help you."
Of course he didn't. Because he'd never found himself in a situation where he needed help from anyone. But if she said so, he'd only disagree with her. It was his second favorite thing to do, right after driving her batshit crazy.

AHH! I got approved for this book on NetGalley a few days ago and I'm not ashamed to admit I did a double fist-pump followed by some air-guitar when I found out. Jill Shalvis is amazing and if you haven't read this series you need to. If you haven't read her Lucky Harbor series, you need to. JUST READ EVERYTHING SHE WRITES, OKAY?

Review: Then Came You (Animal Magnetism #5) by Jill Shalvis

From the New York Times bestselling author of Rumor Has It and the Lucky Harbor series comes the story of a woman whose world is turned upside down by one night's torrid fling...

Veterinary intern Emily can’t believe she wound up in the small town of Sunshine, Idaho, instead of the Los Angeles clinic she had always imagined. Now she has to put her plans to move to L.A. on hold for a whole year while she fulfills the obligation of her vet school scholarship.

Then Wyatt, her gorgeous one-night stand from a Reno vet conference, introduces himself as her new boss. And Emily is just as drawn to his seductive looks and quiet strength as she was on that very steamy night. She soon learns that Wyatt isn’t just a laid-back doctor, but a delicious alpha male tempting her away from her carefully laid-out plans...

“I don't want to dig him or his sexy self. But I keep losing my clothes when I'm with him.”

In this book we have Emily, a vet intern who absolutely does not want to intern in Sunshine, when her dream is working in LA, making tons of money taking care of rich people's animals. And we have Wyatt, recently returning to Sunshine, after living most of his life jumping from one place to another with his wanderlust-struck parents. After having a one night stand at a vet conference in Reno, they find themselves working together at Bell Haven. Seeing each other again was not in either of their plans.

In parts of this book Emily annoyed me. With her talk of "the plan" and refusing to admit that maybe she didn't have one foot out the door all the time. Maybe she was starting to like being able to see the stars at night, and getting to work with animals she wouldn't have the chance to in LA.

Wyatt annoyed me by being so passive! Grow some balls and tell her how you feel buddy! It was understandable how he guarded his heart because of a previous relationship gone wrong, but having two sisters, you would think that he would know that us women need the words. We always want to know what men are thinking, especially if what they're thinking about is their feelings about you!

“Look,” she said, “apparently you bring out my inner slut. I’m not going to thank you for that.”
Wyatt smiled that sexy smile of his. “I could make you.”
She pointed a finger at his nose. And then lowered it so it was pointed at another part of his anatomy entirely. “Don’t even think about it.”
“Oh, I won’t,” he said silkily. “But you will.”
And she knew he was right.”

One thing that I can't help but wonder is what the heck happened with Caitlin? Emily got those texts saying she left before "the good part" but we never found out what Wyatt said or did to her! I want to know, damnit!

And that last chapter? *swoon* I'll bring Wyatt all of the casseroles he needs ;D

I really love the animal aspect in these books. I'm a total animal-lover and I fall a little in love with each animal we get introduced to. I mean Woodrow? What a freaking cute name for a dog! I find myself wanting to adopt every animal I see after reading these books. Maybe a horse, maybe a duck. Who knows! (but seriously, I've got my web browser bookmarked with dogs to adopt o.O)

Also, I've found that in almost every Jill Shalvis book I've read, I want whatever job the characters have. She writes them with such passion it really makes you think "Hey, I want to become a Veterinarian!" or "I can totally own my own bakery" right? It's just one of the things I love about these books. The passion.

“She made a noise from deep in her throat that suggested she blamed him.
This wasn’t a surprise. Something else having sisters had taught him—blame was easily assigned to the nearest male in the room”

(Side Note: OMG can I actually wait until April for Still the One without spontaneously combusting? Pros not.)

“You’re going to get your way on this, aren’t you?” he murmured, voice low and a little husky.
“I usually do.” She kicked off her shoes. “Don’t try to fight it, Griffin. I’ll be gentle.”
